We are angry. Angry that inequality, discrimination and violence continue to shape our everyday lives. We live in a society where gender-based violence is not consistently fought, where wages are distributed unequally and where the care work we do is rendered invisible. Women, migrants, queer people and other marginalized groups are especially affected: they bear the consequences of a system that reproduces and deepens inequalities. A system that does not protect us, even though more femicides took place last year than ever before. This injustice is not accidental – it is part of a system built on the pillars of capitalism and patriarchy. A system that wants us to stay small and silent.

Our anger is directed at these structural injustices. At a world of work that exploits and devalues us. At political decisions that neglect necessary investments in education, care and healthcare. At the silence and indifference surrounding violence and discrimination. But we will not remain silent. We stand in solidarity with international feminist movements! We strike because we will no longer accept these conditions. We strike because things must change. But we will not bow down. We are taking the streets, the neighborhoods and the entire city, and we say: not with us!
